The King's Crimson Cobras set a record by posting a regular season record of 74-8. KCC faced the Rottingham Rogues in the Finals, defeating the Rogues 4 games to 1, after Jerry West went down in game 5 with a sprained knee. The injury would have kept West out for the rest of the playoffs, even if the series went to game seven. KCC set a record that will probably never be matched: the Cobras were a combined 50-0 against Ahwatukee/Costa Mesa/River City.

 

The Boston Celtics won their 5th title in a row as they beat Los Angeles in six games.
