Basketball Trades: 2003

Costa trades Antoine Walker (FC, 5/3, age 27), Gilbert Arenas (G, 4/3, age 22), Costa's 2004 2nd round pick, and the LB first round pick acquired from River City in the Webber/Kobe trade to Long Beach in exchange for Karl Malone (FC, 5/5, age 40) and Tracy McGrady (GF 5/4, age 24).

River City trades Kobe Bryant (GF, 5/4, age 25), Chris Webber (F, 5/4, age 30), and LB's 2004 first round pick for Ray Allen (G, 5/3, age 28), Randolph (FC, 1/2, age 22), and Odom (F, 4/2, age 24). If River City doesn't end up with one of the top 2 picks in the 2004 draft, then River City obtains Costa Mesa's 2007 2nd round pick.

Santa Ana trades Richard Hamilton (5/2 GF, age 25), Jamal Crawford (2/2 G, age 23) and Magloire (2/2 C, age 25) for Kidd (5/5 G, age 30). Santa Ana has the right to switch 2nd round picks next year.

Costa Mesa trades Steve Nash (5/4 G, age 29) and two 2nd round picks in the 2003 draft (no. 12, Teyshaun Prince, 1/1 F, age 23; no. 15, Chauncey Billups, 4/2 G, age 27) to KCC for Zach Randolph (1/2 FC, age 22).

Rottingham trades Zydrunas Ilgauskus (C, 4/4, age 28) to Santa Ana for the no. 10 pick of the 2003 draft.

Santa Ana trades Gary Payton (5/5 G, age 35) to Baja for Jason Richardson (4/2 GF, age 22), Baja's 2003 #1and 2004 #2. If Payton is rated a 5/5, 4/5, 5/4, or 4/4, then the 2004 pick changes from the 2nd round to the 1st round.

Hiroshima trades Gary Payton (5/5 G, age 35), Keith Van Horn (4/3 FC, age 27), and Jamaal Magloire (2/2 C, age 25) to Santa Ana for Kenyon Martin (4/4 F, age 25), Eddie Jones (4/3 GF, age 31), and Tim Thomas (3/3 FC, age 26).

Rottingham trades Ray Allen (5/3 G, age 28) and the 15th pick in 2003 to Costa Mesa for Ben Wallace (2/5 FC, age 28), Baron Davis (4/4 G, age 24, played in only 50 games), and Costa Mesa's 2nd round pick in 2005.

Long Beach trades Vince Carter (5/3 GF, age 26 ) to Santa Ana for Stephon Marbury (5/3 G, age 26)

Santa Ana trades Michael Redd (4/3 GF, age 23) and their third round pick in 2005 to KCC for Rashard Lewis (4/3 FC, age 23) and KCC's 2nd round pick in 2005.
