Costa trades Stromile Swift and Brent Barry to Durango for Vlade Divac and Lamar Odom

River City trades the #1 pick obtained from Costa (which KCC could activate an option to trade their #1 for) and Tim Thomas to Santa Ana for Danny Fortson and Santa Ana's third round pick.

Costa trades Chris Webber and their #1 in next year's draft (2002, which is the year Gasol is a rookie; this pick could end up being KCC's 1st pick should KCC choose to activate their option to swap 1st-round picks with Costa this year) to River City for Tracy McGrady and Jalen Rose.

KCC trades Eddie Jones and Lorenzen Wright and a 3rd round pick in 2003 to Santa Ana for Santa Ana's 1st-round picks in 2003 & 2004 (skipping one draft between now and then, which would be the draft that Gasol is in)
