River City's Dwyane Wade was too much for LeBron James and company,
outscoring James 38-25 and out-shooting James (14 of 21 versus 10

Game 2:
KCC 105, River City 97 (home team: KCC)
In: KCC's Tim Duncan (starter), RC's Joakim Noah & John Salmons
Home team KCC got off to a quick lead (9-0) despite Dwyane Wade's
11 pts in the quarter. At halftime, KCC had a 12-pt lead and was outshooting
RC (54% vs 31%). But RC came back in the 3rd, cutting the KCC's lead

23. Dwight Howard contributed 22 pts, 17 rebs for KCC.
Game 3:
River City 108, KCC 102 (home team: RC)
27 lead changes, 17 ties. KCC's usual severe turnover disadvantage
didn't rear its ugly head, which kept KCC in the game. With 1:10 left
in the game, RC was down 102-101. RC's Wade scored 7 points with 70
seconds left in the game to win it for the home team 108-102. He led

Game 5:
River City 107, KCC 102 (home team: RC)

but RC finished off KCC with a FT for Lopez, a turnover by KCC's Okafor,
and a 2-pt shot by RC's Mo Williams. Fast break points: RC 28, KCC

5-4.
Game 1:
Santa Ana 106, Midwest 98 (home team: SA)
Out: Midwest's Pau Gasol (starter), Jrue Holiday
If it wasn't bad enough playing without Pau Gasol, who averaged 22/10
on 54% FGs in the regular season against Santa Ana, Midwest got basically
nothing from David Lee who fouled out after 22 minutes with zero points
(he averaged 21 pts, 13 rebs versus Santa Ana in the regular season).
Midwest's Carlos Boozer stepped in admirably for Gasol (25 pts on
10 of 13 shooting), but he missed 4 FTs. Midwest missed 15 FTs, losing
by 8 pts.
SA's Jason Richardson came off the bench to lead the team in scoring
with 25 pts on 10 of 16 FGs.
Game 2:
Midwest 110, Santa Ana 93 (home team: Mid)
In: Midwest's Pau Gasol, Jrue Holiday
In the regular season, Santa Ana's Mehmet Okur led the team in scoring,
averaging 20.0 pts per game (6.5 pts more than in the NBA). In game
2, Okur scored only 8 points on 3 of 19 shooting, including 0-10 from
behind the arc. Santa Ana had more 3's than any team in the league,
but in game 2 they missed 22 of 30 3's.
Midwest's Pau Gasol came off the injury list for 14 pts, 11 rebs
and 5 assists. Midwest's Amare Stoudemire led all scorers with 29
points, including 11 of 11 FTs.
Game 3:
Santa Ana 112, Midwest 101 (home team: SA)
SA scored 11 more than Midwest from the line and that was pretty
much the difference, as SA won by 11. Shawn Marion shot 13 of 13 for
SA (including 6 of 6 from the line), leading all scorers and rebounders
with 32/10.
Game 4:
Midwest 123, Santa Ana 105 (home team: Mid)
SA's 3-pt shooting failed them as they missed 17 of 22 long-range
shots. Even worse, SA shot 44% from the charity stripe (12 of 27).
Midwest's Pau Gasol led all scorers with 39 on 16 of 24 shooting while
grabbing 12 rebounds. Midwest shot 57.6% from the field.
Game 5:
Midwest 100, Santa Ana 98 (home team: SA)
SA's Okur missed 20 shots (7 of 27) in a game the featured 21 lead
changes and 12 ties. SA's free-throw shooting (65%, 8 misses) cost
SA the game. Midwest's David Lee led the team in scoring and rebounding
(23/9) before fouling out in the 4th.
Game 6:
Midwest 111, Santa Ana 106 (home team: Mid)
SA's Okur finally broke out, leading all scorers with 28 points.
But it was too late. Okur led Santa Ana in scoring in the regular
season with 20.0 pts per game, but in this series he only contributed
17 pts per game on 33% shooting (16.7% for 3s and 63% FTs). Midwest
shot 57.7% and was led by Amare Stoudemire (25 pts on 10 of 13 FGs)
and David Lee who only played 28 minutes before being disqualified,
but not before contributing 23 pts, 9 rebs, and shot 11 of 15.
