Note: these are the unofficial rosters and will be available here only if I have time to import the roster info into the database and then upload and format the data for these pages for that particular season. If you notice any errors, please let me know.

Official rosters are obtained from Bublak. His rosters are official because he creates roster reports directly from the game software whereas my roster information and rating data have to be exported from the game software just as a first step. Errors can and do happen during the export/import process, which is why the rosters on this page are unofficial. In 2007, during the exporting process, some defensive linemen were assigned the offensive blocking rating that belonged to a teammate. I never figured out why this happened, but I was able to hand-correct the data when coaches notified me of their wacky roster data.

If you've read this far, I'll bore you even more. Before the data is imported into our football database (which feeds these pages), it goes through extensive manipulation such as linking player's ID from the roster data with the player's ID from the rating data (roster data and rating data are separate in a relational database). This ensures Tom Brady's roster data isn't linked to Peyton Manning's rating data. Even the player IDs in the database are complicated: they consist of a unique code for each player that consists of the player's initials backwards, their birth date, and general position the player plays. If that still doesn't make the player's ID unique, a designator is added to the end. Here is the player ID for the first player ever drafted in our football league (not counting the initial draft which was positional in nature): BD02141972QB. The player in question is Drew Bledsoe, drafted by River City in 1994. As of 2008, we have 3,374 unique NFL players in our football database. If you've read this far and are still awake, your reward is...
